When one walks into a thrift store or consignment shop, there are a number of different ways you can try to tackle finding some cool stuff. I tend to think that I am more likely to find something awesome if I walk in with a sort of wardrobe in mind. In this case, I was looking for some neutral-colored basics for Fall, and I got 'em in this paisley robe with contrasting waist tie, and hook-and-eye closure polka dot top in black and white. The robe is actually a dress, go figure, but like the duster cardigan from this post, once you open up and start to play with the different possibilities for these pieces, you can really get more bang for your buck.
