Retrograde

Vintage pinafore and jacket, vintage Christian Dior blouse, vintage Club Monaco bag, Pour la Victoire shoes (c/o Gilt), randomly acquired sunglasses (could have been Etsy, don't remember)

Apologies on the poor photo quality, I'm without access to a tripod at the moment, so I shot these by shoddily focusing and propping my camera on stairs and stuff. Took it as a nice little challenge.

Anywho, I've been gearing more into fall by layering blouses under dresses and such. Pinafores are an interesting garment; technically I guess you could interpret this as either that or just a jumper dress since a pinafore traditionally has an open back, while this has the open back but with cross-strap detailing, which I looooooove. Pinafore dresses were worn by children and women in the late 19th-century as a protective garment for work and play, so I kinda went school-kid-goes-english-rock for this ensemble (shoes + jacket + sunglasses for "edge" etc).
