So I'm super late on posting about this, but I had to share because this dinner was SUCH a moment...
So, it was Fashion Week last week here in NYC, and never in my life did I think I would be eating dinner at the same table as Naomi Campbell. Holy crap that was weirdly amazing.
Carly, Katy and I were invited to join the case of THE FACE with Stylecaster & Oxygen for a little celebratory dinner for the start of filming season 2 (it's gonna premiere early 2014). Beforehand, we gots us some blowouts at Dry bar, which, as I mentioned previously, was a first for me. When we got to the restaurant, we felt luxurious and awesome, we found our seats at our tables amongst Nigel Barker, Anne V, Lydia Hearst, and, oh yeah, Naomi Campbell: the goddess herself.
My damn camera could barely get details in the beautifully warm, candlelit dining room, so I had to grab some pics from BFA, but I decided to go kinda dramatic and wore a 70's-tastic knit maxi dress and my custom Preston & Olivia fedora. I was seated right across from one of my absolute HEROES Miss Amy Odell, whose work at New York Magazine got me inspired to start working in Fashion in the first place. We chatted about the current state of the industry, I was able to learn so much from her, I'll never forget it.
I came full-circle you guys, I was having a MOMENT.
