I've been collecting these Theyskens' Theory purses for a few years now- Theyskens' ultra-cool collections for Theory inspired me in college when I couldn't think of the silhouette I wanted to try out in the bitter cold of NYC winter semesters. Word is that Olivier Theyskens is coming back with a namesake brand, and y'know I'm thrilled.

The accessories he designs have one foot in a 60's mother's closet, and another in a contemporary street. A good portion of his bags for Theory, for example, had criss-crossing leather straps that hit your waist at your side like a giant 'X'; like "who you lookin' at??". On the inside, you'd sometimes find a kiss-lock wallet built into it. I love 'em bags, nabbed this one here and another in navy suede at Beacon's closet here in Bushwick a few weeks ago with some accumulated credit. Second-hand shopping is your friend, folks.
