Asos crop top, Amber Sakai bodysuit (c/o), vintage shorts from Nifty Thrifty, Foley and Corinna backpack (c/o), Nanette Lepore sandals (c/o)

This was born out of Izzy's "Labor-Goth" party on Sunday, to which, it was requested, that guests come dressed in their interpretation of the title. My original intent was to harken back to early-20th century labor garb, but it proved to be too hot out for suspenders, trousers and creepers with socks (ugh). After realizing the platform on my creepers fell straight off once I had walked out the door, I had to think of something fast, and here is what I pretty much concocted- minus the shoes. The body suit acted as "suspenders", and the rest I kind of interpreted as workwear textiles and utility (backpack, platforms...) slightly imagined, but hey, it worked out and we danced.

  2. I wouldn't say I like the outfit but I think that's beyond the point. It surely takes guts to improvise and just go with it!
