Cheap Monday dress (c/o), vintage boots found in Amsterdam, vintage jacket, All Saints cardigan
It's leather love! (not that kind)
I've been loooking for a good leather biker jacket for months. After a good number of weeks of saving up exclusively for the elusive jacket, I was ready for the hunt, but I quickly found that sometimes it's not you who picks the jacket, it is the jacket that picks you. I feel this way about a lot of things like glasses, a great perfume, your ultimate wristwatch... think it's safe to say anything you'll want to have forever never comes easy.
I knew I could never afford say, an Acne or Philip Lim biker, but I knew a decent vintage jacket would probably been made just as well and would have those little delicious lived-in details. I wanted inside-pockets and buckles and good hardware and yadda yadda yadda... but I wasn't able to find anything in my favorite higher-end vintage shops or online that I could see myself living in. Men's jackets were aplenty, but they looked too boxy or had too much shoulder padding. Then, finally, miraculously, I wandered into No Relation to just kill some time, and there she was, peeking out from the absolute darkest corner of the store. It's still a little bit big on me, but it's exactly what I was looking for, complete with a small pocket on the bottom left for a tube of lipstick or something. It's love dudes, it's love.
