Ayyyyy!!! I'm back from the dead!
So I just spent a wonderfully carefree Thanksgiving over at my Aunt Janet's place in Cape Cod. My entire family is spread out all over the east coast, ant it was beyond awesome to see everyone reunited down there for the holiday, it couldn't have bee nicer.

I got the chance to road trip down to Massachusetts from Brooklyn with my older cousin Dana and her boyfriend Andrei. I packed sorta light for the trip, but I had to bring this new floral number I picked up at the Seventh House showroom sample sale before I left the city. I've been a fan of the brand Johnny Was for some time now, and although it ain't exactly silk season, I had to throw this long button-up maxi dress for the adventure of the road trip. By the time we got there, the sight of the lake behind my Aut's house was a welcome reminder of how far from the city I was, and for a fleeting moment, my dress and I welcomed the cold wind swirling up off the water.

Asos Running Man ear cuffs, paper clip earrings via eBay (similar: 1, 2), Byboe threadbare hoops(c/o), Ice pearl thread-through earrings (Similar: 1, 2)

Now that my hair has been cut shorter, I've been getting into wearing delicate earrings that peek out just enough through my hair. I've always loved the look of heavily-pierced ears with just a plain T-shirt to keep things from being too blingy. These, these and these are next on my list.

Which brings me to my newest acquisitions: these stickman ear cuffs, which I could not resist from the moment I stumbled across them (I mean, for $10 and a half c'mon...). I'm always all for little basics with a bite of unexpected detail, and these are so perfectly quirky. Definitely excited to start wearing these out to events that don't require head banging, or maybe just a touch.

They're here!
I'm so excited to share my jewelry collaboration with Brooklyn-based jewelry brand By boe for a 4-piece collection of necklaces.

Designer Annika and I had a sit-down about 4 months back in which we discussed our favorite jewelry shapes and started the process from there. Annika is best known for her amazing wire work, and it was such a great experience sitting down with her on her weathered wooden work table and get to know her through her design process.

I had brought a sketchbook with me to jot a few things down, and while flipping through the pages, we both noticed that I had repeatedly drawn eyes, arrows and infinity symbols throughout almost every page. It hadn't really occurred to me, and although everyone knows I love the look of eyes as amulets, pairing them with such simple, straight-forward and meaningful shapes held a lot of weight. Annika thought the eye and arrow looked great together, and so we decided to create large (eye and oxidized arrow) and small (eye and arrow) versions of the necklaces with the idea that either/or could be mixed and matched. Creating the shapes from sigle pieces of wire completed the idea of infinite possibilites.

I ADORE how the necklaces came out, and I'm so happy to announce that By boe & I are giving away 5 sets of the small third eye and arrow pendant necklaces to some lucky readers!
To be entered, show us some love by Liking By boe & De Lune on Facebook, and then feel free to come back erryday to add to your entries by tweeting, pinning & liking!

Giveaway ends next week on 11/19 so check back every day to add to your entires!!

Vintage romper/cardigan/Oscar de la Renta blouse, Gipsy knee socks, Docs, Pour la Victoire backpack (c/o), Byboe necklaces (c/o)

2 words, man: wool romper.
One of the (few) reasons I like colder weather is that you get to experiment with more fabrics and textures all at once in the attempt to keep warm. I love wool, even when it's itchy & cumbersome because it's a renewable ressource, it's warm as hell and it looks amazing when it's dyed a super bright or deep color. I actually found the romper I'm wearing here way back in September and loved it so much I wore it out of the store (Buffalo Exchange, gotta love it). Unfortunately my excitement gave way to exhaustion (even with the lack of sleeves) in the 80 degree sun. But thankfully now that earlyish Fall is upon us, I'm wearing this sucka out like it's no tomorrow, I already have to replace the buttons though, which is kind of a bummer....

You know what is't a bummer though? This PLV backpack that is killing me with its perfection. I just wanna hang it on my wall with its straps splayed out like a specimen of gawgeousess. I hate to say it since it's all over the place these days, but I LOOOOOOVE that deep burgundy/oxblood color, always have, always will. I'm so glad I can wear it all the time now that I can tote my books to and from school in this bag! I wore this ensemble to my later classes after I goofed around the grounds of my apartment complex.
