My boyfriend Jevins is from ^^this^^ breathtakingly beautiful place; Hailey, Idaho.
My city ass is from Queens, which would make Hailey feel a certain kind of exotic if it weren't for my parents, who took me to the Adirondacks nearly every spring when I was a kid. Not entirely comparable, but when you stand at the foot of a mountain, or feel them peering over you from a great distance, you feel wonderfully insignificant at the mercy of nature.
Jevins and I went for a walk. Down the road from the ranch he grew up on, Jevins pointed out whenever we'd pass a family of magpies, or a place where he found a couple barn kittens when he was a kid. We danced by the river for a little bit, and then stopped to pick a couple plums from a couple trees down the road.
Many thanks to the 3.1 Phillip Lim team for sending by this look from the Fall '18 capsule collection, giving me a chance to interpret this city look out here in mountain country. Definitely suggest peeping the collection here- lots of knits and separates in here that I can't help but love.
