I had the sweetest pleasure to meet the one and only Samantha Pleet in her home/studio in Brooklyn for a little dress-up sesh and preview- and lemme tell ya, I can't think of many better ways to spend an afternoon!
Past her extensive record collection and design table, past the kitchen with home made cookies and orchard-picked apples straight from a dutch still life was a delightful, sunlit room with racks of Samantha's Spring and Fall collections overlooking the gardens beyond the windows. I had an amazing time thumbing through the pieces and chatting with Samantha, whose work I have gushed over since high school. Everything she designs is nothing short of magical, from her hand-drawn, overflowing prints, to her celebration of strength in whimsy, I can't help but love eve-ry-thing.
