Vintage top and cashmere duster via Bib & Tuck (℅), Cheap Monday jeans (℅), Rollie Sneakers (℅), Lafayette 148 silk blouse

Been paying more attention to the Spring/Summer 2015 shows, which has been moving me to experiment with layering. I suppose these layers came about after seeing the Dries Van Noten "Gilded Woodstock" collection (as Susie Bubble referred to it as) and also after taking a look at Bottega Veneta's severe treatment of gingham. The layering of open sheer fabrics/use of opulent materials and details came from Dries, where Veneta reminded me that one of the reasons why I was drawn to the silk gingham print shirt was that it puts a classic print onto a relatively unusual garment (the only closure on the top is a single button at the collar. I kept it open and a little more sexy by having the shape mirror that of the open duster.

Then I guess the sneakers were something of an homage to Margiela. Dunno if it all works, but it doesn't have to, it's an experiment.
