Vintage shirt, belt and cardigan, Mango coat, J Brand jeans, Seychelles boots, Rebecca Minkoff backpack, Drawn and Quartered nameplate necklace (PS- you can use DELUNE20 for 20% off your own via D&Q)

I'm pretty picky when it comes to wearing something with a print. I don't do ikat, stripes need to be horizontal, polka dots should be on the smaller side... the list goes on and on. I think the most important thing, though, is that when I observe a pattern in a garment, I prefer that it wraps around the entire thing; nothing bothers me more than a shirt or pair of pants that only has the front decked out in its pattern. In other words, the piece either needs to embrace its pattern, or not, and this shirt would be an example of fully embracing the print to the -enth degree. It's a men's shirt, which is usually what I prefer to wear when working or going to class. The roominess is always welcome and I can usually button it fairly low.

Other than that, little details prevail here. Still exploring possibilities with layering, I kind of wish the shirt was longer so it could bunch over the belt at my waist a bit more, but it's a start.
