thrifted blazer, Jaclyn Smith silk ruffle top, Dream Out Loud pants, Kimchi & Blue boots, thrifted ponyhair clutch, vintage assorted jewelry
Note: please ignore the unflattering boutique lighting!
This was worn last night to Tory Burch and Erin Featherson's Glamour Girls event!
I had a total moment when this top caught my eye at Kmart of all places! I worked with Kmart on stylesip and was able to get creative about styling the younger brands there, which was fun, but Jaclyn Smith puts out a few surprises now and then, like THIS scarf (it looks like felt in the photo, but it's not, in real life this thing is the bees' knees and much more fabulous) that I had to get out of my total-drop-dead obsession with Dries A/W 2010
Anywhos, the event was awesome! I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Erin Featherson and got the chance to talk college with her. I was delighted to discuss how she attended Parsons in Paris when she was in school, and how art school has the ability to sort of mold someone's character in a way that changes you forever since you're surrounded by so many different artists who think so creatively! I love talking to designers about school! Even despite my stresses (which are normal), it keeps my morale up for sure.
You look fab. Sometimes you need ruffles. And more times you need to look in unexpected places. Never know where a good find is waiting.
