So this past week has been jam-packed with fun junk. On Tuesday I went to both the Katherine Kwei Spring 2011 Preview and Lord and Taylor's facelift party. Both were an absolute blast!

At Katherine Kwei, bloggers were given the chance to take a look at the collection and make our own chinese trinity knot keychains! Her entire collection is designed and based off of the Trinity knot, which is a symbol of balance, unity and happiness.

The Lord & Taylor facelift was total sensory overload- in a good way! The 5th avenue store was celebrating its new floor designs. Drinks and food were served, stilt walkers chilled out, aerialists dangled over us, and OH YES ANDREW WK WAS BRINGIN' THE PARTY.

for those of you unfamiliar with Mr.WK, he is a super awesome musician and entertainer famous for his solo music career, his party antics, motivational speaking and other awesome happenings.

all-in-all, I was exhausted by the end of the night, but it was worth it

vintage turtleneck, Thrifted coat, Dream Out Loud Pants, Aldo heels, Warby Parker glasses, thrifted leather bag, vintage belt that used to be my dad's but is now technically mine since I wear it more than him

Just something casual this week!

Some happenings, some happenings.

I'm happy to announce that next month I shall be starting a project I've been working on with Kmart, hence the pants. It's going to be an interesting challenge indeed so stick around!

These shoes, dear readers, oh man. I am SO IN LOVE with these wedges I don't even know where to begin. They go perfectly with everything I wear OH and they are easy to walk in. Check and check.

As for the eyewear, I also happy to announce that I am an ambassador for Warby Parker eyewear, and I am SO EXCITED to share their message with all of you. Expect a more in-depth post about that in the near future.

But for now, I must run to class!

On Monday night I had the tremendous honor to be invited to Kenneth Cole's Spring 2011 preview dinner. The collection was opened to the press on Tuesday, but Kenneth made a conscious decision to show it to the blogging community and the internet community first. He gave a speech at the start of the dinner saying "We at the brand feel like we're so cool now that we've embraced this new generation of movers and shakers in fashion!" He was so unbelievably awesome, laid-back and genuinely interested in what we as bloggers and real people have to say.

The dinner was based around the actual theme-er themes I should say- of the actual collection: The mountains, desert and rainforest. Everything from the food we were served to the actual table were designed around those 3 places. I sat at the rainforest end of the table between Christine and Arielle, it was suuuuch fun! In between servings, waiters actually came around with accessories on trays for us to look at, which was a bit bizarre but really fun. It was a super fun experience indeed.

OOH! and we were given these really nifty sony Bloggie cameras. It was fun documenting the night with it. Everyone seemed to choose to take their cameras out at the same time during the evening when something amusing would happen at the table. Nothing like a bunch of bloggers snapping away at a table full of good spirits.

I realize that I'm tired of things being slow on my blog since I'm not able to do outfit posts everyday. I figured I should be sharing my inspirations with you all to give you some insight on what's moving me lately as I formulate my ensembles.

THIS, dear readers, is the Fall 2010 Jcrew Lookbook. Just look at these girls. These outfits are an absolute feast for the eyes. The textures, the colors, the layering, the high-low styling...Jenna Lyons, the former head stylist and current creative director for the brand is one of my idols, I have always loved her work.

And if you're not convinced I'm obsessed yet here's a fun fact: this collage is the wallpaper on my Macbook.
